Updates for the month of Sept 2010

Shld “Neglected” be the rite word to use here?

Turns out I am turning this into a “bi-monthly event”.. Sorry abt that..

Main reason for this is that I have “other places” to look after.. FB, WB etc.. Those who know me, shld be able to find my latest updates there.. And, I choose not to disclose it here.. (for the time being..)

Let’s see what I have been up to for the past month..

Yeah.. Its my bday month, and i got this lovely gift for myself.. (the casing is from my beloved colleagues <3)

Attended DingDang and MP showcase in sg.. Not too bad.. her voice is really powderful!! Managed to get a good spot.. cos maybe the crowd wasn’t that big in the first place..

Flew a kite (without wind) at the barrage (first time in my life).. It was fun.. but more fun playing with water downstairs.. LOL..

Right.. so there u go.. Next update in November (hopefully..)

Feel so bad for neglecting this place.. like.. for ages.. (two whole months.. to be precise)

605 DNA @ KL concert

It was a great, great, great experience! First time standing inside rock zone, first time standing at row 2, first time getting electrocuted by Monster, first time neglecting “the other guy”.. orz.. second time travelling out of SG for concerts..

Most importantly, i really enjoyed the company of two great mayfreaks!!!

612 BWL event

 

Managed to get tics for this event.. they were great! Even though the wait was agonizing.. but we managed to survive it until their appearance.. damn high!!!

Guess that we have to wait for another N months b4 we can see them again..

708-711 Cameron + KL + Malacca Trip

Finally managed to go for a short getaway last week.. had been wanting a relaxing trip to recharge my batteries.. It was great! Love the weather at Cameron Highlands, love the food at KL, love the shopping and exploring at Malacca..

I’m here to sweep away the dust.. haven’t been here for the past two weeks..

Its MAY..!!! My fave month since last year.. for obvious reasons.. LOL.. Truly enjoying every single day of the month.. cos everyday is MAYDAY..!!

Oh yah.. finally got my iphone.. still playing ard with the apps.. not bad.. quite fun..

Also, i finally got my copy of 下课后， 怪兽家点名！ Only reading halfway through.. i thinking all mayfreaks shld get a copy cos it tells us a lot abt them.. and the main point is that the book is written by them.. from how they skipped school to 练团, how they got their first guitars, to how they got their first album contract and many interesting stories abt them..

I guess they are in NZ now.. tml is their concert in Melbourne.. Wish i am there..

Jay Era Concert 2010

We waited for two years.. and he is finally coming back for his new world tour.. The date for SG stop is on 24th July.. Ticket sales started on 15th April.. The sistic webby crashed at 9.01am.. barely a minute after the sales started.. we tried to refresh.. but no one can go in at all.. this is really madness! Later, we were only left with single seats.. J had managed to help me get a single seat for the 138 category.. we cant be choosy.. if got seats, jus grab it..

The following day, the organiser announced an additional nite.. actually we had already expected a second nite long ago.. anyway, we jus have to get ready for another “war” on 22nd April.. we decided to go down to Sistic counter to queue.. thinking that its the main system.. it cant breakdown too right? Anyway, i went down directly after work on Wednesday evening.. was surprised cos i dun see any queue yet.. except for another gal standing near the counter.. it was later then we realised that we were there for the same purpose..

We sort of started the queue.. she and her bf in the first position.. and me in the second.. (luckily, will mention why later) Then, another group of gals came.. and we started to chit chat.. cos it will be a long wait.. they told me that they couldn’t get any tics for the first nite.. haiz.. hope that they can get tics for this additional nite.. I waited until 11+pm till my fren came to take over.. i cant queue overnight.. cos din apply leave on thursday.. anyway, i went home after that.. praying that we can get tics..

We logged in the web at 9am sharp.. guess what?? ALL the tics GONE!! Cannot be right? I called my frens immediately to check out the situation at the Sistic counter.. they told me the staff said all the tics sold out.. at 9am lor.. Damn crazy.. While the first group of ppl in the queue were still struggling at the first counter.. the second counter opened.. and we managed to get the tics for the category we wanted.. really heng lor.. i heard that first group still haven got their tics yet.. They must be really pissed off..

Anyway, i had let go off my tic for 24th july to my jcnet fren, cos she din managed to get any tics for any of the nites.. den since i got both nites.. i think its ok for me to just go for one nite.. good things mus share share mah.. ^^v

Its Over!!!

If u have been reading my previous posts.. I had been anticipating this concert for almost 3 months.. Took me two days to really cool down and blog abt it..

I was there really early that day.. saw SHE at the Stadium mrt stn opening.. anyway.. dun really bothered to stay there to kaypoh.. cos nothing to see anyway.. strolled to the National Stadium alone.. Not much fans there yet.. the merchandise “stall” also not yet open for business.. So, i walked aimlessly and accidentally saw a unlocked gate.. it was ajar lor.. i din even have to push it.. was rather scared to walk in.. but there were no one else there except me! The next thing i saw is the open air inside the stadium.. I am inside.. saw the superb stage.. but didn’t get to see the transformer..

I stayed in there for a while, since i got nothing to do.. den.. a few big sized securities came stomping up and chased me out.. >”< Went back down to the gate 1 area.. bought my merchandises.. and it started to rain really heavily! Oh man.. the thing that we least expected to happen.. what to do? Just wait for the rain to stop lor.. saw some fans started to hang 青天娃娃 on the barricades.. super cute lor.. but i guess, it did work! The rain finally subsided after abt 2 hours.. but this 2 hours of rain had cause disasters inside the stadium.. the grounds were flooded.. equipments malfunctions.. lightings not working.. and this results in a mad rush of fixing and clearing of flooded grounds by the hardworking crew.. really.. thumbs up to all of them!

They were supposed to let us in at 6pm.. but due to the rain… it got delayed to ard 7pm.. the crowds were scary lor.. even for us whom were there early.. only managed to get in by 7.30pm.. by 8.15pm.. still got a lot of ppl stuck outside.. i heard they dun even need to check the tics or bags just to rush everyone in.. it was crazy lor..

Lights finally dimmed at ard 8.30pm.. they sang 春天的呐喊 as the opening.. alice was very sporting.. even though she was coughing like mad.. she still stands for most of the concert.. hehe.. during the middle of the concert.. i sported ashin walking on the runway.. i squeezed out and ran to the second stage where he was at.. haha. managed to see him.. but still got quite a lot of ppl “obstructing” my view.. i got “k” by a idiot  fellow whom brought a DSLR with those big big long long lens.. damn painful lor.. cos i dunno he was standing behind me.. and i jumped.. and my shoulders hit on the thing hardly.. *ouch!* but come to think of it.. 他的相机应该好不到哪里去! I heard how sensitive those things are.. haha..

Anyway, i know i got no chance of seeing ashin upclose at the place i was standing jumping, i knew which direction he will go next.. den i walk there to “standby”.. barely less than a minute.. he came walking to the exact spot i was at!! woohoo!! my intuitions nv failed me.. LOL.. he stood there for a few minutes, den stone came walking there with his guitar also.. while we busy screaming and jumping for ashin and stone.. i feel footsteps came running on the runway.. it was Masa.. he ran really fast.. and he looked really happy.. LOL..

Saw fireworks and the superb transformer.. it ended at 11.30pm.. honestly..i was really shocked.. how can a Mayday concert end so early??? This has never happened during any of the concerts i went last year.. we were super unwilling to leave.. but i was the only one shouting “encore” and “wu yue tian”.. the feeling sucks.. we heard Ashin telling us to go home.. he was behind the stage.. really feel like crying.. this is the first time i feeling so disappointed at the end of the concert..

Logged in FB the next day.. i saw many ppl complaining and whining abt the concert.. idk why they can post such comments.. to think they claimed to be mayday fans? i think they should continue to show their support and not complaining before getting the facts right.. i am disappointed.. not with Mayday (obviously), but with the fans.. anyway, like ashin said, let’s wait for their next concert to get high again..

Will LOVE them always!!! ^^

7.5 hours to go!!!

Its today!!! OMG!!! So super duper hyper excited!!!

Saw the 传说中的变形金刚 on the news last nite.. Its super tall, super huge, super breath taking!!! Everything abt them is making me so freakingly high!!!

Double checked that my tics, blue lightsticks are safety stuffed in my bag..

Nice weather, nice mayday fans, nice stage, nice transformer, the performance will be freaking successful tonight!!!

Just in case someone says im too biased.. wish “the other side” also have a successful concert.. they are welcome to come over and watch the fireworks, and maybe the head of the transformer! Hahahaha..

Okay.. need to get ready to go out and enjoy myself to the max liao!!!

15th April – Counting down 2 days!

Was too tired yesterday.. went to bed super early last nite.. din even login the internet at all.. Anyway, yesterday was the first day of tic sales for jay concert.. the webby crashed at 9.01am.. (as expected??) haiz.. cant even go in at all!!! WTH??? Almost all tics were gone by the time we managed to login a few hours later.. :’(

Saw this poster today.. isn’t he cool?? Guess i just have to be 知足 with the tic i got.. Many of my frens didn’t managed to get their tics.. anyway.. we’ll just wait for apr 22..

Back to Mayday..

TWO days!!! OMG.. Time really flies.. YX was telling me that she saw me counting down on msn since 70+days.. but i was actually counting down from 90+days.. haha.. and now.. i can start counting down the hours! The blue kallang wave might work after all.. News are spreading on FB.. and hope we can continue to spread it to the rest of the fans on Saturday..

Doraemon Pig is finally out at Mac today.. I already got the news few days ago.. and dashed down to Mac in the morning before gng to work.. apparently, i was the first customer buying the toy.. cos none of the staffs even know abt it.. they must be thinking that i’m a crazy doraemon fan.. LOL.. And, most importantly, my collection is finally COMPLETED!!! Yeah!!!!

13th April 2010 – Counting down 4 days

Listening to 生命有一种绝对 on radio now.. Yes, 4 more days!!! After tonight, will be 3 days.. OMG.. its so freaking near now.. I can’t even think properly.. XDD Ppl already starting to ask me how i feeling now? “Must be very excited, right?” Let me tell u, “excited” is really under-rated.. I’m hyper abt it.. Saw their ads on tv.. RR is counting down too.. HAHAHA.. Shiok leh!! Hope can see blue sea in National Stadium.. They say abt creating history with Mayday.. but i hope to create the blue sea with fellow Mayday fans.. the feel is so… UNITED.. u know?

I know I’m supposed to be counting down to Mayday concert.. but this news is also driving me crazy since this morning..

The article.. he mentioned abt the 360 degrees floating stage.. I’m really curious abt that.. but super looking forward to seeing him again after two whole years!!! Really miss watching him playing the piano~~~ ^^

Finally got a chance to watch the tvc for jay concert! My mum was talking to me… but my eyes and ears were glued to the tv for that few seconds.. ended up asking my mum to repeat again..

12th April 2010 – Counting down 5 days!!!

Tension is building.. the stage is also building?? I wonder how long do they need to build the super stage? And the bumblebee.. OMG!! Seriously can’t wait..

Met up with G ytd, and i casually “suggest” that maybe Mayday will appear on the covers of the weekly mag.. Maybe Mayday on U-weekly and SHE on I-weekly.. or either way round..

So turns out.. i was half right.. both of them really appeared on the covers.. but both on the same mag.. Of cos.. i went to look for Mayday version of the cover.. It looks super PS-ed.. but who cares??

11th April 2010 – Counting down 6 days

Had already planned to visit Kelly at ard 11am this morning.. but my mum informed me that we are going to pray our ancestors last night.. she told me to go ahead if i already got appointment.. but my heart tells me to go and pray first.. its an “annual” event anyway.. so informed the gals that i will be “slightly” late..

Had a really hard time calling a cab.. and we reached the place at almost 11am already.. as usual, the place is super super packed.. very hot, stuffy and smokey.. anyway.. we managed to find a table and settled down our things.. i went up to “visit” my granny and grandpa.. 不知道为什么就忽然有种难过的感觉。。 看着那两个骨灰瓮就想哭。。还好忍着了。。

Anyway, i left after that and headed straight down to the hospital.. think by the time i reach there ard 12pm liao.. had a little chitchat with the gals.. its been a really long time since we sat down and chatted for so long.. Hope Kelly will get well soon.. if not.. we might really see spider webs on her head next time we visit her again.. ^o^ *kidding lah*
